About Freddy Hill

I enjoy working in a practical environment and the laboratories offers variety and interesting challenges which make every day different and gives me the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques. My work has taught me the value of communication between members of a team / company and the way in which different people working towards an objective can be complimentary as well as the importance of maintaining high standards for our customers. In both university and work I enjoy the practical side of things and when I set my mind to something I see it through to its successful conclusion. Lab and field work were essential in my BSc and MSc and gave me a broad knowledge of analytical procedures and techniques it also enabled me to plan lab and field work to fulfil project objectives and deadlines and to gather and analyse data using a range of methods. Outside of work I like to make the most of the south west and enjoy climbing and swimming with friends that have stuck around from my time in university. I’ve always enjoyed reading and wherever I am I usually have a book with me.
