About Frederick Furman

Ever since I was a kid, I have been interested in electronics, mainly computers. I am the person in my family that everyone comes to for computers, cell phones and more. In school, however, I developed a knack for accounting and went on to pursue it in college. I have even prepared people's taxes. That did not stop me though from being in the technology world. I have worked in technology companies for many years. Fast forward to 2019, I came at a crossroad. Did I still want to do accounting or switch paths and pursue what I am passionate about? Long story short, I went back to school to pursue my passion in Computer Information Systems and concentrated on Cyber Security Programming. I am now a recent graduate with my second bachelor's degree. I have learned to mitigate different vulnerabilities using different software like Nmap and Nessus, and troubleshoot different operating systems like Windows, Android, and iOS. This field has always been interesting to me and to think I am able to make a career out of what I love makes me very excited. I am always looking for other ways to educate myself. Right now, I am preparing myself to take the CompTIA Security+ exam. I really enjoy analyzing different problems and how to solve them. At where I currently work, part of what I do is look at a problem that I am faced with, analyze it, and come up with different solutions based on the needs of the person I am helping. I truly find satisfaction in solving these issues and it puts a smile on my face to know that the person I helped will have their mind put at ease.
