Mr. Santarelli is President of Elliott Greenleaf, P.C. He is one of Pennsylvania's "SuperLawyers", selected every year the designation has been awarded since 2004. In each year since through 2021, Fred has been selected "Top 100" in Pennsylvania, and "Top 100" in Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court appointed Mr. Santarelli Vice Chairman of the Court's Civil Procedural Rules Committee. The Supreme Court appointed Fred to the Committee in 2011, and in 2014, reappointed him to another 3 year term. The Supreme Court appointed Fred as Vice Chairman of the Committee in 2016-17. Fred is a "Fellow" of Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only nationwide trial lawyer honorary society whose Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows nationwide. In addition to court-appointed lead class action counsel, Fred has been lead defense counsel in corporate director/officer claims for hundreds of millions of dollars, in insurance insolvency litigations, employment class actions, as well as Multi-District Litigations. Mr. Santarelli has argued before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the the Federal Third Circuit, including winning arguments in the class action De Asencio, et al. v. Tyson Foods, Inc, 500 F.3d 361 (3d Cir. 2007); and Ario v. Ingram Micro et al.(PA. Supreme Ct, 2009), establishing important precedent for insurance policyholders and companies. Mr. Santarelli graduated cum laude 1988, Widener University Delaware Law School. While working full-time, he was editor of the law review, and published an article cited in several judicial opinions (Santarelli, Preliminary Injunctions In Delaware: The Need for A Clearer Standard, 13 Del.J.Corp.L. He has also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Institute faculty. Fred graduated Juniata College 1984. He was co-MVP of varsity football. Fred is a long-term resident of South Philadelphia, and a 1980 graduate of Saint Joseph 's Prep in Philadelphia.
