I'm Frederik Hoffmann, a dedicated Ocean Engineering student at the University of Rhode Island with a passion for structural and subsea engineering.Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering, I am set to graduate in May 2024. My academic journey encompasses a diverse range of coursework, including Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Structural Analysis, and Coastal Structure Design. Providing a solid foundation for my future endeavors in ocean exploration and engineering.Proficient in a variety of engineering tools and software, from SolidWorks and AutoCAD to MATLAB and Python. My skills extend across wave propagation, model testing in wave tanks, and 3D printing, showcasing a dynamic blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application.As a Student/DeckHand with the Sea Education Association, I spent a month at sea on the 134-foot Brigantine, SSV Corwith Cramer, conducting scientific research and utilizing various navigation styles and advanced equipment. My construction and demolition experience at Kasdan Construction and current role as a Back Waiter at Summit House have further honed my adaptability and teamwork skills.I am actively seeking opportunities to leverage my skills and passion in the subsea construction and engineering sector.
