About Fredo Chavez

I am an electronics engineer experienced in the field of semiconductor and software development. I am passionate about learning new technology, specifically in the fields of electronics and artificial intelligence. I aspire to become an engineer that will build and shape the future of technology. I am pursuing my PhD with a research focus on advancing the application of Machine Learning in device modeling of semiconductor devices, such as GaN-HEMT, FinFETS, FDSOI, SiC and ESD devices. We have published papers in prestigious conferences and journals, highlighting our contribution to the field. I have finished my Master of Engineering degree and Masters of Research, and worked on projects like RF fingerprinting using machine learning and IC design. I am currently working as an RF Test Engineer at Altum RF, where I develop software tools for test automation, data processing, visualization, and design automation. I am continuously developing my skills and knowledge to create tools across analog, digital, and RF electronics to help my fellow engineers with their designs. I am skilled in Python and MATLAB. I have finished a few online courses and specializations in deep learning and robotics. I have experience with IC design tools such as Cadence AWR and Keysight ADS. I have conducted workshops on using MATLAB for embedded systems, Machine learning, and Deep Learning as an Application Engineer. I have four years of teaching experience as an Engineering Instructor in a university teaching physics, mathematics, and electronics engineering. I also worked as a Design Verification Engineer focusing on test bench evaluation and simulation of integrated circuits. With my experiences, I believe I have developed myself to become well-rounded and able to adapt to new challenges.
