About Fredrick G.

Sr. Network & Security Architect | CISSP | ISP Backbone + Enterprise Datacenter + Multi-Cloud SecurityI am a Network & Security Architect with 10+ years of experience spanning national ISP backbone engineering (Cox, WOW, Internap), enterprise datacenter design, and multi-cloud security architecture. My career bridges carrier-grade scale and enterprise transformation, giving me the ability to secure infrastructures end-to-end.Core strengths include:• Backbone Engineering: BGP (iBGP/eBGP, route reflectors, RPKI), MPLS, IPv6 peering, inter-domain routing, carrier-grade DDoS mitigation.• Enterprise & Datacenter Architecture: VXLAN/EVPN spine-leaf fabrics, AI/ML-ready low-latency datacenter builds, Zero Trust security.• Cloud & Hybrid: Azure, AWS, and OCI deployments — policy hardening, segmentation, and compliance alignment (NIST, PCI, ISO).• Automation & Monitoring: Python, Ansible, Terraform (familiar), Grafana, Prometheus, Spirent traffic validation.• Security Architecture: NGFW (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet), SSL inspection, IDS/IPS, DLP, zero-day prevention, 802.1X (ISE) with Duo MFA, MACsec.I have led cross-functional projects, mentored engineers, and authored design documentation and MoPs that enable reliable, compliant, and repeatable deployments. I hold an active CISSP, with previous CCNP and JNCIP-SP, and am pursuing the AWS Security Specialty.I thrive where network scale meets security innovation — whether building AI/ML-ready data centers, securing global ISP backbones, or enabling multi-cloud environments to operate at hyperscale.
