About Fredrika Gustafsson

Hi there! I am Fredrika (most people call me Ika), and I am best known to be the person who spreads happiness and positive energy at the workplace, and I really enjoy that about myself as well. Apart from that I am adaptable, self-motivated, reliable and both a team player and very independent. I take ownership and initiative quite naturally, and I can always be trusted to finish a task that I have started. I enjoy having responsibility and managing my own workload (not a fan of micromanagement). If we go back 10 years in time, I studied English in both NYC, USA and Hawai'i, USA for a year after high school which was one of the greatest things I have ever done. I went abroad for a longer time again to heal my aching traveler’s heart in 2019 as a backpacker, and NZ had me at hello. I love getting to know different cultures and languages in both my work as well as my personal life. At the moment I am also learning both Italian and Spanish. Apart from speaking English and Finnish fluently, my native language is Swedish. I come from a small, Swedish-speaking town in Finland called Ekenäs, which will always have a big piece of my heart. My native language also allows me to understand and communicate with the other Scandinavian languages. I enjoy being able to communicate with different people. Got my MBA back in 2019 (Organizational leadership), and my Bachelor's degree before that within the field of Information technology (BBA), so I have also gained a lot of IT knowledge (databases, software, website creation, programming etc), something that came naturally from my childhood passion for gaming. In my spare time I am quite active and I enjoy all kinds of social gatherings with old and new friends, I am a massive foodie so I like to make and try new foods, go jogging and to the gym several times a week, play badminton and padel every week as well, going to the movies and also travelling which I love to do both for work and in my spare time. Most of my working experience is in Banking, I worked within the same banking group since 2015, Säästöpankkiryhmä (Finnish Savings Bank Group), and now I am excited to be working as People Operations Manager for the Nordics & The Netherlands at Tier Mobility. So far I am very excited to be a part of this adventure, and learning more and more about Nordic & Dutch labor law and international HR in general every day.
