About Freek van Laar

As a consultant, partner in start-ups, and member/director of professional guilds, I am dedicated to achieving positive changes and measurable results in digital transformation and innovation initiatives. With 25 years of experience in the field, my career began as a team member on a European digital onboarding program at a Big 4 par company in Belgium. This experience fueled my conviction of the power of what is now referred to as the "digital imperative". In I moved to Chile and continued to work in various sectors, divisions, and roles, becoming increasingly involved in "digital as an enabler" projects, both as an employee and an entrepreneur. As of 2012, I began applying my digital perspectives to help organizations from various sectors and countries in South America, and since early 2022 back in Belgium, on digital transformation initiatives, managing or participating in the development, definition, and execution of digital related projects. My experience encompasses a wide range of end-to-end project components from analysis & diagnosis (benchmark studies, maturity digital relevance fit/gap analysis, etc.), strategy (definition north star, definition backlog of initiatives, development roadmap, impact analysis, etc… ), design (double diamond service design, service blueprints, awareness & design studies, design thinking, etc…) and execution (Prince II, scrum methodology, ADKAR, etc…) My main assets according to the feedback received from my clients, superiors and peers are my extensive knowledge, experience in complex projects, collaborative mindset and my belief in the netarchy concept in order to optimize the result of a combined effort- Como consultor, socio de startups y miembro/director de gremios profesionales, estoy dedicado a lograr cambios y resultados positivos en colaboraciones de transformación digital e innovación. Con más de 25 años de experiencia en el campo, mi carrera comenzó como miembro del equipo en un programa europeo de incorporación digital en una empresa Big 4 par en Bélgica. Esta experiencia alimentó mi convicción del poder de lo que ahora se conoce como el "imperativo digital". En me mudé a Chile y trabajando en varios sectores, divisiones y roles, involucrándome más en proyectos de "digital como habilitador", tanto como empleado como empresario. Desde 2012, comencé a aplicar mis perspectivas digitales ayudando organizaciones de diferentes sectores y países en su transformación digital sea en la gestión, la participación en el desarrollo, definición y ejecución de estrategias digitales.
