About Freya Patel

Hi! My name is Freya Patel, I have a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University New Brunswick. I’m a goal-oriented and determined individual who is passionate about education, volunteering, and healthcare. I love spreading knowledge to others; I have been tutoring since high school and I continue this in my learning assistant as well as in my practice group facilitator role. As I have been getting older, I have been more appreciative of everything my family has given me. I aim to do the very same for others by distributing food at a local organization, putting together food packages for families during the holidays, and strive to do this in many other ways. Moreover, my dedication to enlightening and giving back to others has translated to healthcare being an enticing field for me. For instance, in my role as a medical assistant at the Foot and Ankle Center of New Jersey I was able to explain to a patient how to use doctor-recommended equipment.
