About Freya Steadman

I design expressive, layered interiors that celebrate individuality, emotion, and a sense of belonging.I’m a First Class BA (Hons) Interior Design graduate from the University of Gloucestershire, where I built a strong creative foundation and developed confidence in both digital and hand-rendered techniques. Over time, I’ve shaped a design identity rooted in storytelling, wellbeing, and personal connection.I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience during an 8-month maternity cover at Calico Interior Ltd, contributing to live residential and commercial projects. From concept development and material sourcing to spatial planning and client presentations, I learned how to balance creativity with practical, client-led solutions in a fast-paced studio environment. While I’m especially drawn to modern maximalism—for its richness, character, and potential for emotional depth—I remain highly adaptable. I tailor every space to reflect the individual, layering detail, intention, and atmosphere to craft interiors that are both functional and full of life. I aim to design spaces that uplift, empower, and offer a true sense of belonging.Toolkit: AutoCAD · SketchUp · Adobe Creative Suite · ProcreateI work confidently across both digital and manual workflows to bring ideas to life with clarity and personality.I’m now excited to grow within the interior design industry—bringing creativity, curiosity, and a human-first mindset to thoughtful, impactful projects.
