Fritz joined Ciba-Geigy just at the time of the merger with Sandoz. As most people know this company is now Novartis. Solvias is a spin-off MBO company from Novartis and it is owned by the Solvias management and employees. For more than 20 years Fritz has been working on solid-state chemistry of drugs, polymorphism, crystallization, surface science and problem solving related to this subject. He has carried out studies on more than 100 active pharmaceutical ingredients, several of them are now Blockbusters! Many important factors are related to the solid-state properties and polymorphism in molecular crystals.
