About Fu Jinxia

I have been focusing on thermodynamics, and environment and health effects of high molecular weight organic compound mixtures through close collaboration with environmentalist in Brown University Superfund Research Program to improve the understanding of these organic mixtures and solve environmental problems. In order to further enhance my research experience repertoire, as an assistant researcher, my research focuses on developing green additives for second generation biofuels for use as Navy petroleum diesel fuel replacement. This project involves helping U.S. Navy to test the stability of the new biofuels and their blends with traditional marine diesel or aviation fuel, and to develop reliable “green” additives for the biofuels. In the future, I aim to make important and rich chemistry contributions through collaborations with scientists across different disciplines as well as colleagues within chemistry to solve problems related to the production and usage of biofuels.
