About Fulga Malic

Upon completing my master's in "European Economic Law" at the University of Groningen, my passion for EU law, particularly in internal market law, state aid law, and competition law, grew significantly. This drove me towards a career allowing me to apply this expertise in practical settings. As a Junior Onboarding Manager at Vistra, I seamlessly connect my legal background to real-world applications. Handling client onboarding across diverse sectors requires a strong grasp of legal compliance, particularly in Client Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws. I ensure adherence to the trust office law in the Netherlands (Wet toezicht trustkantoren - Wtt) and the EU AML legislation in the Netherlands (Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financieren van terrorisme - WWFT). Moreover, my investigative skills, honed through rigorous client research, are a pivotal aspect of my background. This experience not only enhanced my legal acumen but also equipped me to assess risks, such as industry, activity, and regulatory risks of clients, leveraging my legal education effectively within practical scenarios.
