A certified Veterinarian with over 8 years of Veterinary Practices such as Small Animal Medicine, Large Animal Medicine and Avian Medicine. A certified Disaster Risk Manager: Senior Member, Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science(SDMSS); Fellow, Association of Disaster Managers without Boarders(FADM). Has over three(3) years of experience in livelihoods implementation with specialty in livestock and Veterinary Service interventions; other interventions are Income Generating Activities, Vocational Skill Acquisition, Rainfed interventions, Dry Season Interventions, Natural Resource Management with emphasis on Reforestations. Had worked with International organizations like Solidarites International, Christian Aid and currently with Norwegian Refugee Council. Had worked with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) as a Veterinary Officer/Disease Surveillance Officer which covered Veterinary Service delivery at the Mukola State Veterinary Hospital Complex, Ante mortem and Post mortem meat inspection at the Amosun Abattoir Complex, Rapid Response in case of Disease Outbreaks such as Avian Influenza Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease, African Swine Fever and other diseases of Economic and Zoonotic importance, and Transboundary Animal Diseases; Routine monthly surveillance at various epidemiological points across the state; Monthly data collection on Veterinary services being carried out in farms, private veterinary clinics and hospitals, public veterinary clinics and hospitals, other ambulatory services; Analysis of reported data and transmission to the Regional Disease Surveillance Systems Enhancement (REDISSE) on monthly basis and within 24 hours for disease outbreaks; Collection of samples in case of suspected disease outbreaks, forward samples to relevant laboratories (National Veterinary Research Institute) for confirmation. Follow up with the institute to ensure timely feedback.
