About Futoshi Endo

Hi! My name is Futoshi Endo I began my career in 2017, joining GMO Pepabo, Inc. as a new graduate engineer. As a web application engineer, I was involved in developing new mobile APIs and improving/refactoring long-running web services, some of which had been operating for over 10 years. I also actively contributed to education and team-building efforts—serving as an instructor for new graduate training across the entire GMO Group and facilitating team retrospectives. https://tech.pepabo.com/2020/05/29/gtb2020-report-on-rest-framework/ Outside the company, I’ve participated in tech conferences and have also organized study groups focused on PHP and Laravel. As an engineer, I especially enjoy solving pain points that users experience while using a product. I’ve also been passionate about automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, particularly in environments where improvements are difficult to implement. In 2023, driven by a desire to broaden my skills beyond backend development—including frontend and infrastructure. I joined BASE, Inc. In my first year at BASE, I joined the Cart Team, where I gained domain knowledge in the payment space. One of my contributions was automating a previously manual task related to bank transfer processing. I also led initiatives to improve customer support workflows. Notably, I resolved a major email delivery delay issue that occurred during a company-wide onboarding campaign and a coupon distribution event. I served as the main developer and was responsible for everything from requirements definition to backend and frontend development. The feature was released on schedule.
