Currently working as a Programming and Operations Manager since mid-2022. My work includes, but is not limited to- Working with our film booking agency to build a slate of films to play at the theater, both first-run and for repertory series - Researching film acquisitions and keeping track of their release dates - Screening films from both distributors and from local + non-local filmmakers to make programming decisions with what fits in our calendar - Building showtimes for programmed films - Overseeing our Theater Management System and ensuring files are on projectors when they should be - Manage DCP and KDM content being delivered to the theater and ensuring they work before playing - Create ticketing pages for films and events and monitor when they go live - Communicating with the rest of the team on when films and events are live and ready to be marketed - Creating an updated film pre-show each week to play before each film - Assisting with projection troubleshooting - Working closely with our Director of Operations to assist with any tasks needed - Occasionally create film-themed decor to promote upcoming films (ex. include a cloud made out of paper lanterns and polyfill to promote NOPE, making a taped version of chalk outlines for BODIES BODIES BODIES, placing googly eyes in multiple parts of the theater for EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE)
