About Gabe Erhartic

I have over twenty years in the restaurant industry and a wide array of general business skills. In addition to my culinary background, I have extensive experience with online marketing, event planning, and business finance which I acquired as a small business owner. Some of my biggest strengths are people skills, making processes efficient, and predicting customer's priorities and expectations. I also excel at step one of things, starting projects from zero and creating something out of nothing. My first business, GigaBites, was a San Francisco based catering company that specialized in "build your own" buffet lines. We also did lots of corporate events and retreats, and managed a few small cafeterias. Selling exclusively to offices, COVID hit us pretty hard. However, we were able to use our existing menus and infrastructure to work with the city of San Francisco to feed the city's homeless population, and we were able to use the profits from that operation to open up our first restaurant, North Beach Cantina. I moved to Sacramento, before any of those developments, in May of 2020. I've been enjoying life as a stay at home parent, helping as needed with Gigabites and the Cantina, and a little other freelance work. I'm looking to take the next big step forward, both in my career and my new life in Sacramento. I absolutely love it here and feel lucky to be in a position where I can carefully search for something that feels like the right fit. I'm hoping to find a chance to use my existing skills and experience to contribute somewhere that feels like a new industry, or at least has elements to it that feel new.
