About Gabe Woodward

Woodward Diversified has been involved in raising and investing over $100mm in private companies in various industries since September of 2020, including: technology (SaaS), energy (oil, gas, and alternatives), biotech (diverse cancer immunotherapy and children’s ophthalmology treatment), private debt (healthcare financing), as well as in their first family entertainment film. Gabe has sat and still serves on the board of numerous charitable and for profit institutions including: as immediate past President of The Kern County Cancer Foundation, Jim Burke Ford Education Foundation, Fundare Resources, Genelux Corporation (chaired the compensation committee), Kern County Swim Council, as well as deacon at Grace Bible Church (finance and counseling committees). Gabe began his working career at Bank of America where he worked for almost five years. In the midst of the 2008/09 financial crisis he moved employers to Wells Fargo Private Bank where he worked for a decade before launching Woodward Diversified Capital, an asset management and private equity firm, with his father and brother in 2020. Gabe has been involved in numerous small businesses, including founding Bakersfield Swim Academy in 2012, which teaches local kids how to swim and compete. Gabe has also partnered in: The BLVD (a family entertainment center in Bakersfield), Rush Air Sports (family entertainment trampoline park), and Gameday Sports Academy (a basketball center for youth). Gabe was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and began swimming when he was 4 years old so he and his brothers could get some energy out on those hot summer days. Gabe went on to captain the USC Trojan Swim Team as a 3x time All American, as well as winning medals for Team USA at the World University Games (Mallorca, Spain), 2004 Olympic Games (Athens, Greece), and as co-captain of the 2007 Pan American Games (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Gabe spent time volunteering in mentoring Student Athletes at USC since graduating 2010/11.
