Gabriel Dominguez Valiente is a corporate attorney with over 13 years of experience based in Miami, Florida. As a member of MSP Recovery’s in-house legal team, he advises senior management on day-to-day transactions, corporate finance, public company securities law compliance, public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, reorganization transactions, acquisitions, spin-offs, corporate compliance, and was part of the team that completed MSP Recovery’s $32.6 billion business combination with Lionheart Acquisition Corp. II, a SPAC sponsored by Lionheart Equities. Prior to joining MSP Recovery, Gabriel served as Head of Legal of a $200M private equity firm based in New York City focused on software, mobile and online marketplace investments in the US and Europe. Gabriel’s career began at a top law firm in Latin America, where he advised clients on corporate law and cross-border transactions. He later served as in-house counsel for a multinational corporation headquartered in El Salvador and Miami, providing guidance to senior management on day-to-day transactions, corporate compliance and structuring financial transactions in the US and Latin America. Gabriel is admitted to practice law in New York State and is certified as Authorized House Counsel in the State of Florida. He holds a Masters in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law (LL.M.) from Fordham University School of Law, and an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Gabriel is actively involved in pro bono work through CABA Pro Bono, providing free legal services to unaccompanied immigrant children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by their parents. He has been able to reunite at least 50 minors with their families or sponsors in the US, conducting legal assessment in asylum applications, family reunification petitions, and immigration court hearings. A fútbol fanatic, sports enthusiast, and interest in world affairs and politics makes him a whiz at sporcle and trivial pursuit. And, he will never refuse a good single malt scotch.
