About Gabriel Gray

I am a 3D artist specializing in environments and props, with experience working on interdisciplinary teams. I started my career in the games industry at Funcom working on the upcoming game Dune: Awakening as a 3D Art Intern. During my time there, I was able to build assets to perform well in a large world, design for player interaction, and learn the mid-poly workflow. I was also fortunate enough to work on a detailed hero prop and was able to build on the design language of the concept art to create an asset that would fit into the world while still attracting the players’ attention. In my current role as a CG Asset Artist at Falcon’s Creative Group, I am part of a team of artists building a digital version of an upcoming theme park. As part of that effort, I have worked on 48 buildings and 16 props, all built to match the real-world building requirements for the final park. I have also been responsible for an entire zone of the park in Unreal, verifying that all the assets were of the needed visual quality and adding details where necessary to ensure smooth transitions. To ensure all assets met building standards, I kept open communication with designers and production to keep up to date on any developments and resolve issues as they arise. Outside of work, I play video games to keep up to date with the games industry, as well asfor inspiration for personal projects. I use my personal projects as an opportunity to try new techniques and technologies and brush up on skills. I am always eager to meet new people and exchange ideas!
