About Gabriel Lam

Gabriel Lam has been working in the Shalom Movers Group since 2007. Under his leadership, he has successfully shaped and sustained a passionate learning and development culture within the organisation. His expertise spans across Risk Management, Operations Management, Customer Service, Fleet Operations, and Lean Management. As the appointed Chief Operating Officer of Shalom International Movers, Gabriel has consistently championed personal growth and continuous skills upgrading for all employees. His unwavering commitment to workforce development led to his recognition in July 2019 with the SkillsFuture Fellowship Award, presented by the President of Singapore. That same year, Shalom International Movers was honoured with the SkillsFuture Employer Award under his leadership. In 2021, he was conferred the Beyond Second Chances (Workplace Advocate) Award by Yellow Ribbon Singapore for his efforts in creating inclusive employment opportunities for ex-offenders. Gabriel is also a proud ambassador for the Central Narcotics Bureau, supporting Singapore’s drug-free movement through the United Against Drugs Coalition. Beyond his role in the company, Gabriel has actively contributed to national efforts. In 2019, he was appointed a Council Member of In 2020, he joined the Workplace Safety and Health Council (Logistics and Transport Committee), and in 2021, was appointed by the Minister for Home Affairs as a Member of the Board of Visitors (Community Rehabilitation Centre), under the Ministry of Home Affairs. In recognition of his service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Gabriel was awarded The Public Service Medal (COVID-19)[Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (COVID-19)] in 2022, and The COVID-19 Resilience Medal in 2023 for his substantive contributions to Singapore’s national response. Deeply committed to community service, Gabriel is an active Grassroots Leader and dedicates much of his personal time to volunteering efforts for the underprivileged. In 2025, Gabriel Lam was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Sembawang GRC, continuing his life mission to serve the people — both within his company and in the wider community. His journey reflects a deep sense of responsibility, purpose, and unwavering dedication to nation-building.
