Background
About Gabriel Paz
Sound artist focused on the composition of improvised and gathered sonic material alongside abstract visual events and animations to create works that explore and challenge the relationship of audible and visual environments. Concerned with the subconscious and the effect art has on the psyche, creating compositions that evoke unknown emotions rather than answering a prompt. The goal is to gather sonic material, personal or captured, and create an archaeological dig site where new ideas, emotions, and contexts can be discovered for the artist and the audience. Utilizing minimalism and reduction to present material that is malleable and able to be reinterpreted.
