About Gabriel Ramos

Since October 2014 I have worked at Whole Foods Market as a back-up wine buyer and then as of March 2016 as an official wine consultant for the Specialty Department. In June of 2015 I passed level one of the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) exam and was awarded a sommelier certificate and pin from said organization. My drive to navigate and simplify the wonder of food and wine pairings for customers has been of utmost fascination to me. I strive to challenge and invigorate myself and others in the world of wine and food. Concurrent to my time at Whole Foods Market I was enrolled in San Francisco State University's Music Engineering program and received my certificate from SFSU in Spring 2015. There I learned the history and foundation of popular music and the technology through which it is created. In addition I got hands on field experience in various bay area studios. Students were educated in the equipment decision process and studio decorum when engineering a live recording session as well as the building blocks to various Digital Audio Workstations and how to create a balanced and dynamic mix of a recording session. I have also worked in warehouse production and construction/fabrication for approximately 5 years. I began my experience at the age of 16, working for Key Events, a corporate event planner in San Francisco. I had the bulk of my training with Super Closet (also located in San Francisco), a hydroponic supply company. There I had continued experience performing shipping and receiving duties, and branched out into product research, training in metal and plastic fabrication and helped run a small floor crew with two other senior employees. I am eager and adept at learning new skill sets.
