About Gabriel Sabo

I love marketing through social media and am open to learning new things. My marketing experiences range from small business to professional sports and casinos. Some of the platforms and social media outlets that I have used to market are: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, HootSuite and Hubspot. So here are a couple of things about myself and my experiences. I grew up being a talker. I always wanted to talk about anything and everything, especially given that I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania. Social media was key in order for me to communicate with family members and friends who reside all around the world; that being the Philippines, China, Holland, Colorado and California. My love for communication intrigued me and made me want to understand marketing and public relations, which is why I obtained an associates degree in Public Relations at Penn State University, Berks Campus. I majored in Professional Writing because as my advisor would say, “You can teach someone how to communicate, how to sell, how to market, etc but an employer does not have time to teach you how to write.” While in college, I learned how to write in news articles, business writing and technical writing. I also learned the marketing side of business and now I want to take what I learned and apply it to my career. I interned for the Reading Royals Hockey Team and the Penn State Writing Center simultaneously while earning my degrees. For both internships, I created content for their social media outlets, whether it was advertising for upcoming hockey games, give-away nights for games, or advertisements for students to join the PSU Writing Center. I also was President of The Public Relations Student Society of America for my Senior Year. As well, I volunteered for the curation team for the inaugural TedX Talk at Penn State Berks. In two of my Public Relation classes, I lead two different groups to establish communication plans for nonprofit organizations. Outside of my college journey at PSU, I worked in the marketing department for The Standard Group/TSI Associates, a printing company located in Lititz, PA, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, Texas Roadhouse, The Heritage of Green Hills and currently working at Modena Reserve Kensington. A fun fact about myself is that I worked for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Hockey Team where I was on their energy team. You must have a passion for the game and also wear an orange jumpsuit.
