About Gabriel Smith

I am an IT business professional who's excited about the ways Information Technology will continue to shape our world, and way of conducting business, in the future! My broad leadership roles within IT organizations have given me a plethora of real world experience that bolsters my education. I have chosen to supplement my business information systems, business management, and international business degrees with a computer science minor because I am confident that technology is our future. My latest educational endeavor, a Masters in Artificial Intelligence, is aimed towards understanding and gaining the skills to help shape the future of technological advancement. My interests outside of work include sports, both watching and playing, tech hobbyist, and amateur foodie. I think that being an active member of the community I’m living in is vital to my overall happiness and the success of the community I’m in. In Örebro I’m an active member of informal sports clubs including basketball and rugby as well as a social network which enjoys meeting for holidays, pastimes, and weekends. During my time at Oregon State I was involved with a wide variety of clubs including the students for information management club, the finance club, Alpha Kappa Psi professional business fraternity, the STEM outreach program, and more. Most of all I love getting out and experiencing new things, whether it's down the street or across the globe I am always open to trying something new.
