About Gabriel Soares

A seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in technology and information security, focused on developing and implementing security strategies that protect company assets and enable business growth. I believe security should be a business enabler. Currently, at Grupo Boticário, I am a key member of the team responsible for ensuring information security throughout all stages of technology projects. I serve as the security focal point for Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and lead security initiatives for M&A Due Diligence, with the goal of identifying and mitigating risks in complex transactions, ensuring business continuity and success. I am continuously enhancing my management, leadership, and strategic thinking skills, aiming to assume leadership positions that allow me to disseminate best practices and contribute to the growth of the team and the company, with a focus on security as a business enabler. Previously (until 2021), I led teams responsible for security patch management and security hardening at Pagar.me and Grupo Bradesco, optimizing processes and pursuing continuous improvement of the security posture. Previusly of those oportunities above in 2010, I joined HSBC's global identity infrastructure team, participating in and leading global projects and migrations, working with international teams and developing my collaboration and communication skills in multicultural environments. My foundation in Microsoft support, gained at companies such as Instituto Curitiba de Informática, PremierTI, Masternet, and Gersepa, provided me with solid experience in identity management, Windows Server support, and the protection of Microsoft operating systems and infrastructure. Throughout my career, I have developed skills in project management, task prioritization, complex problem-solving, crisis management, and team development.
