About Gael Rigaud

Research enthusiast since 10 years, I have focused my work on inverse problems, optimization and deep learning. I have built a strong expertise in imaging and image processing reflected by - 19 peer-reviewed publications in mathematical and engineering journals- 26 talks at international meetings and conferences. Through the years I gathered around 800 teaching hours held in French, English or German. I had also the opportunity to lead small groups (Masters and PhDs) through 3 different projects and have developed a worldwide research network (France, Germany, UK, USA and China). My current position is split between- a lecturer position (Priv-Doz.) at the Department of Mathematics (University of Stuttgart) and- a project leader position at the Cluster of Excellence SimTech. My project PN 6-9 deals with "Analytical models combined with data-driven techniques in dynamic CST". My current area of Research covers- Inverse problems- Optimization- Deep learning enhanced by analytical models- Dynamic imaging, in particular Compton scattering imaging.
