About Gagan Kanisetty

I’m an Embedded Systems and ASIC engineer with experience spanning semiconductors, telecommunications, and embedded solutions. I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and specialize in firmware development, digital design, and mixed-signal validation. Currently, I work at Synopsys on multi-protocol SerDes PHY IPs (USB, PCIe, MIPI) at 20G/40G/64G speeds. My contributions include designing firmware algorithms, verifying firmware, creating a custom Language Server Protocol (LSP) that reduced debugging time, and driving pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, mixed-signal modeling, and QA for advanced nodes such as TSMC 2nm. Previously, I developed 5G firmware at Sierra Wireless, collaborating with Qualcomm on debugging, implementing new AT commands, and enhancing LTE/5G algorithms. Earlier, at ConeTec, I worked on embedded firmware for sensor-driven systems, improving device networking and real-time data integration. Beyond industry roles, I’ve built impactful projects, including wearable fitness devices and energy monitoring systems. I’m passionate about solving complex engineering problems, bridging firmware and hardware, and building reliable systems that push technology forward. Always open to new opportunities and conversations - feel free to connect!
