About Gagan Moorthy

I’m Gagan, an Indian-American artist, photographer, filmmaker, and creative strategist. I love making things.I'm building my craft in photo and film alongside my skills in creative direction and production. My visual work reflects stories of people and place through beautifully shot imagery that is made with intention. As a storyteller and strategist, I’ve produced an array of creative concepts — from editorial photo collections and narrative based short films to multi-video series for brands and million dollar fundraising campaigns for humanitarian organizations. Through my personal work and in collaboration with others, I build experiences that express meaningful stories, connect with audiences personally, and inspire powerful action. Whether it's conveying truths about our shared humanity, marketing an innovative product or making the case for investing in an organization's mission to better the world — I’m creating emotion with my work and doing so beautifully. In all my endeavors, I’m focused on advancing equity and access to opportunities in historically excluded communities, aligning my vision and craft with mission driven people and clients, and telling stories of: people, place, immigrant and racial identities, and the beauty of our natural world.
