About Gail Crumpton

I spent many years in executive leadership roles, where I learned how to navigate complex operations, build strong relationships, and keep organizations moving with clarity and purpose. Today, I bring that same discipline, strategy, and heart into a very different kind of work: running my own apiary. As a small business owner, I manage every part of the operation—from hive health and seasonal planning to product development, customer education, and community partnerships. I’m passionate about producing high‑quality, local honey and beeswax goods, and I take pride in helping people understand where their products come from and why sustainable beekeeping matters. Supporting local agriculture isn’t just a business model for me; it’s a way of strengthening the community around me.Education is a big part of what I do. Whether I’m explaining the difference between raw and processed honey, teaching someone how pollinators support our food systems, or helping customers choose the right beeswax product, I love making the world of beekeeping accessible and enjoyable. And when I’m not tending hives, you’ll usually find me quilting—especially creating memory quilts and T‑shirt quilts that help people preserve the stories that matter most to them.
