Background

About Gail Hurd

I graduated from The Open University with a 2:1 (hons) in Psychology. For my final module I explored motivations for charitable giving in the UK, developing a new scale to measure methods of giving. I enjoyed the survey project so much that I decided to study for a masters degree in Philanthropy with the University of Kent! The brilliant thing about studying with The Open University over the past six years is that I have been able to achieve my degree whilst working, raising two children and dealing with some big life-changing challenges along the way. If that doesn't convince you of my dedication, time management and organisational skills then I'm not sure what will! I currently work in Supporter Relations at Newlife. Admittedly I'm bit of a geek and really enjoy exploring and working with data - which is probably why I enjoyed the survey project for my degree so much!
