Work directly with financial aid administrators, non-profit organizations and industry partners in Higher Education. In conjunction with Executive Management, research areas of need to help RI families access and complete a higher education. Participate in state and national discussions on this issue. Facilitate conversations that will help the Authority reach its mission of helping families access higher education. Worked with the Manager of Financial Literacy to develop and deliver needed materials and presentations on financial literacy. Liaison between customer service staff and institutions for questions regarding loans, training and interpretation of federal regulations. Responsible for organizing educational seminars Develop and create marketing collateral, develop upfront and backend benefits, catalyst in the creation of new products to meet needs of industry. Represent company at local, state and regional conferences. Meet with State Representatives in state and in Washington to advocate for students and families. Managed 2 Campus Directors Create and maintain budget for department, oversee sales objectives, maintain and develop customer base. Underwrite loans based on credit, liquidity and income documentation. Originate Title IV loans and insure compliance with Federal Regulations. Created and developed consolidation department, original employee in the loan origination department and the default aversion department. Speak at various functions involving Higher Education Active member RIASFAA, EASFAA, MASFAA, CAPFAA – Industry organizations. Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, email and a blackberry daily Specialties: Excellent verbal and written communications skills, relationship building capability, able to listen to issues and bring about resolutions.
