About Gajadhar Joshi

Enthusiastic experimental condensed matter physicist with 9+ years of research experience, where I have developed 4+ new experimental setups to accomplish my research projects. I have hands on experience on wide range of Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) measurement techniques such as Electrically Detected Magnetic Resonance (EDMR), Optically Detected Magnetic Resonance (ODMR), conventional Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), including the implementation of advanced pulsed techniques. I have implemented above mentioned ESR techniques on various condensed matter systems including but not limited to conjugated polymer thin film devices, amorphous silicon solar cells, organic semiconductor thin films, nitrogen vacancy centers (NV- centers), single molecule magnets, molecular nanomagnets etc, for their possible applications in spintronics, photovoltaic devices and quantum sensing techniques. Explored spin coherence properties in various materials for their possible application as spin qubits in quantum computing architecture. Extensive hands on experience of design, development and characterizations of various RF and microwave resonant circuits such as coplanar waveguides (CPW), loop-gap resonators (LGR), surface coils etc, including simulation in COMSOL and HFSS. Hands on experience on optical characterization of materials including transient laser excitation techniques. Experience with data analysis techniques such as plotting, fitting, simulation and regression analysis using Python, MATLAB and OriginLab programs. Test the validity of experiments, draw conclusions from the data and prepare manuscript to report the final results in peer reviewed journals. Presentation of research findings in the several conferences and seminars to improve the articulation and communication skills.
