About Gala Frecon

Passionnée par toutes formes d'arts, je me concentre d'avantage sur l'image, animée, audiovisuelle et cinématographique. J'ai pu, à travers différentes expériences, développer des qualités en matière de programmation (courts métrages animation, vue réelle, réalité virtuelle) et d'organisation d'événements culturels (développement des partenariats, accueil invités, gestion d'équipes, billetterie.). C'est en intégrant des équipes de Festivals, tel que le Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy, le Geneva International Film Festival, le Festivals des Reflets du Cinéma Ibérique et Latino-Américain, le Festival du Film Court et le Festival du Film britannique de Villeurbanne ou encore les Biennales de Lyon, art contemporain et danse que j'ai pu avoir un recul nécessaire et une approche soutenue quant à l'organisation d'une manifestation culturelle. Aussi, la Réalité Virtuelle attire beaucoup mon attention. Le poste de Responsable du dispositif de diffusion d’œuvres VR dans la Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, porté par Festivals Connexion, et ma qualité de sélectionneuse d’œuvres VR au Festival du film d’animation d’Annecy ces 4 dernières années m’engagent à promouvoir et accompagner les productions VR sur le territoire national et international- Passionate about all forms of art, I focus more on the image, animated, audiovisual and cinematographic. Through different experiences, I have been able to develop my skills in programming (animated short films, live action, virtual reality) and in organising cultural events (developing partnerships, welcoming guests, managing teams, ticketing.). It is by integrating teams of festivals, such as the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the Geneva International Film Festival, the Reflections of Iberian and Latin American Cinema Festival, the Short Film Festival and the British Film Festival of Villeurbanne or the Biennials of Lyon, contemporary art and dance that I was able to have the necessary hindsight and a sustained approach to the organization of a cultural event. Virtual Reality also attracts my attention. The position of Manager of the VR works distribution system in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, which I am joining this year, and my capacity as VR Film Programmer at the Annecy Animation Film Festival for the last 3 years, involve me in promoting and accompanying VR productions on the national and international territory.
