Background
About Galen Goben
I am an experienced Grief Support Director. I have demonstrated for over a two decades a strong ability to work with individuals and organizations to discover their path through transitions and loss. Providing grief support requires a broad range of skills and talents. It is necessary to listen, both with the ears and with the heart. It requires communication. Those who grieve often have a hard time focusing, processing, and understanding many of the common expressions of grief. To communicate with the bereaved and help them see and hear requires patience and a creative approach. Grief support does not happen without trust and the experience of feeling safe. These are the foundational aspects of fostering courage and confidence within the griever so they may step into an unknown future. Compassion is the atmosphere for the important and life-enhancing intra-personal activities of Counseling, Coaching, and Trauma Resilience. I have a successful history in Event Planning and Teaching.
