About Galya Zaig

A non profit leader bringing enthusiasm and change to organizations, enabling them to create even greater impact through innovative programs, community collaborations and access to a variety of resources. Passionate about helping people and organizations realize their potential and purpose. I have a talent for connecting with people and building long-lasting relationships. I use my experience working with various stakeholders to bring change and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. My philosophy is that of a learner who continually looks to improve my skills as well as to support and empower those around me through humor, kindness and innovation. I help uncover strengths and develop the steps necessary to reach the desired goals by working with respect and appreciation for the individual. Experienced in the areas of program and community development, workshop facilitation, education, developmental disabilities and mental health. I believe in reducing stigma, creating cultural change, building inclusivity and lifting others up. Recently I have been offering education to self-advocates, professionals and parents to gain confidence, comfort, knowledge and skills to teach and talk openly about sexuality to enable people with disabilities to lead sexually healthy lives. Non-profit experience includes: engaging various stakeholders, Board of Directors creation and development, promoting inclusion and diversity, program management, curriculum development, group facilitation, marketing, fundraising.
