CAREER SUMMARY • Started in 1986 as demonstrator interested in scientific Research and the academic career. • Obtained PhD degree (1994) in Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University through channel system with Aachen University in Germany. The PhD subject was focusing in development of thin slab casting technology for flat steel production that saves the energy and protects the environment. The title of the PhD thesis is “Development of a Production Technique for The Continuous Thin Slab Steel Casting”. • In 1998, Appointed as manager in an industrial company owns state of the art technology of Thin slab casting Technology. Participated in installation, start-up and operations of several steel plants. • Over 20 years of sound industrial experience in steel making group of companies belonging to private sector, gave him great chance to apply the results of his research work in Germany in Egypt and worked to transfer the technology to Egyptian engineers. • Fast track manager holds many responsibilities up to general management during his industrial career over 20 years. • Led a team of engineers to conduct and publish number of applied researches based on full industrial scale experiments as a model for cooperation between industry and universities. • Appointed as member of the Board of Directors of the “Metallurgical Holding Company”, Cairo, Egypt since 2014. The Metallurgical Holding Company hosts seven Metals related public industries, in addition to two Engineering Companies and Five Mining and Building Materials Companies; all affiliated to the Ministry of Public Business Sector. • Published 50 articles in International Scientific Journals and Conferences, in addition to 3 patents as result of research and development activities in the steel plants. • Planning to get challenging managerial position in an international institution/company to utilize the gained experience in enhancing the cooperation between industry and university.
