A young man came to me and said,"please tell me that surgery will save my mom, we cannot afford Radiation Therapy." Carcinoma of Vulva, irregular chemotherapy due to financial constraints, surgery no more possible, Radiation therapy is the only option. Right now, our center does not have this service. Sadly, we cannot do much to address their needs. This is only one story. I face them every now and then and I feel a need of having all the services for Cancer patients at our own center at the earliest possible and the poor patient fund to be able to cover chemotherapy, surgery and radiation oncology treatment cost for patients who cannot afford treatment and choose to skip the treatment until they manage loan or something similar. Cancer treatment is costly, but more challenging is how fast Cancer spreads when patients skip treatment. We want to reach all the patients and their families who find it difficult to understand the robustness and keep jumping from one to another hospital just to later realize that the patient may no more be treated.
