About Gareth Davison

I've worked for BT since starting as a modern apprentice installing digital telephone systems from Nortel/Lake to moving into Data and working mainly with Cisco LAN/WAN technologies and some IP telephony, working in a 24 x 7 shift role for almost 3 years monitoring Windows servers for various platforms including Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, Active Directory, SCCM. I eventually moved into a 3rd line role within the BT Skype team, supporting users on our Skype for Business 2015 Server platform before the move to Microsoft Teams. I then worked in a design and delivery role having worked on the migration of users from Skype for Business 2015 to Microsoft Teams with full features including Dial in Conferencing, Phone System using Direct Routing. More recently I have been developing my automation skills, predominantly using PowerShell along with Microsoft 365 tools including Power Automate and Power Apps. I'm now currently working as a Cyber Security Specialist, progressing from an Analyst role, working mainly with Microsoft Security tools including Defender and Sentinel as well as Securonix, Qradar, Crowd strike and XSOAR.
