An experienced Chartered Health and Safety Manager and Trainer, with excellent knowledge and practical experience of managing Health and Safety issues within a multi-site company. Multi-skilled, versatile and methodical, with a hard working and enthusiastic approach to achieving goals. A self-disciplined team player with proven management and leadership skills in high pressure environments, working to critical deadlines. Accomplished in the practical implementation and monitoring of Health and Safety legislations. Experienced in developing Health and Safety Policies and Guidance and successfully launching them to businesses. An effective communicator across all levels of an organisation up to Board Level. Has the ability to work autonomously. Joined the Army in June 1987. Served in many areas of the world including UK, Germany, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq in the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers. Achieved the non-commissioned rank of Warrant Officer Class Two by selection and example. Upon leaving the Army in 2009, I then joined the Driving Standards Agency as the Health & Safety Manager for the Midlands, North Wales, North of England and Scotland.
