I have worked within the Financial Services sector for 20 years, with roles ranging from equity release file reviewer (post and immediate business), Specialist Retirement Adviser, Independent Financial Adviser, Technical Pensions Consultant to Business Development Manager/Strategic Account Manager. For the past 7 years, I have specialised in Lifetime Mortgages. I am currently contracting with TCC (as an equity release file reviewer, concentrating on past and current business submissions). As an Equity Release / Mortgage adviser, I have been included in the Times top Financial Advisers list for 2020 (voted for by clients). After promoting lifetime mortgages for Canada Life (as a BDM) in 2015, I completed my ER1 exam in December 2015 and was trained to advise on equity release at Just Retirement, becoming a retirement adviser in January 2016. I am passionate about Lifetime Mortgages and have trained several advisers in Equity Release over the past 5 years. At the Equity Release Information Centre, I built, trained and managed a new advisory team. I was responsible for all compliance, file checks (pre and post-sale) and advice reviews for the team. At Aspirations and ERIS, I built the mortgage / equity release proposition – ensuring all advice/compliance protocols were in place and FCA compliant. With a wealth of knowledge from the mortgage market (I am a fully qualified mortgage and protection adviser), I have advised on Buy to Lets (portfolios and stand-alone), residential, commercial, new build, self-build and overseas mortgage business. In 2019, I became the Chamber secretary/membership lead for the Clevedon Chamber of Commerce – onboarding new businesses and becoming the first point of contact for all new members to the Chamber. With many years of experience in advising, broker development and managing teams within financial services, I am both professional and organized in my approach to any role I undertake. I build trust and rapport quickly and always look to develop long term relationships with clients and business partners.
