I’m an experienced and committed Head of Department who relishes a challenge. An enthusiastic individual who has gained significant experience in design, process development, validation, continuous improvement, manufacturing/quality, supply chain and operational areas from Mercedes AMG F1 Team underpinned from Cosworth Engineering. This has realised an ability to identify, recommend and deliver process developments whilst maintaining optimal performance, quality, reliability & efficiency. Demonstrating the ability to provide a structured approach to problem solving and to manage the solution through to completion whilst always keeping the priorities of the business in focus.KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Project leading from definition of objectives (technical, timeframe and budget), coordinating across departments; follow up of activities and reporting to C – Suite management.• Effective and influential communicator, motivator, and team player/leader/manager. • Able to secure ‘buy in’, ‘support’ and commitment for all deliverables.• Extensive design manufacturing and production engineering experience of metallic and composite structural components. Including design for manufacture and cost engineering.• Thorough understanding of continuous improvement, design concept/process, validation, quality, operations, manufacturing, and supply chain.• Able to identify areas for performance and efficiency improvements whilst managing teams and achieving planned deadlines to budget.• Coordinate a variety of key stakeholders including C- Suite management, suppliers, and multi departmental teams. • Critical decision-making skills essential for ensuring credibility across the business. • Strong analytical, conceptual, organisational, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to adapt rapidly to changing situations based upon extensive experience working to tight deadlines with resource limitations.• Consistent attention to detail ensuring a right first-time deliverable.• Extensive management experience. Including recruitment, performance review management, structuring groups, change management and ensuring delivery to timeline and budget.
