About Gareth Sayers
Hi there, I'm Gareth. I have worked professionally with varying types of animation since 2001. After graduating I started out as a traditional 2D animator working for the BBC and ITV, and was lucky enough to work on the BAFTA nominated Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids. After this I moved on to freelance in 2D and 3D animation whilst studying for a Masters in Animation in Bristol. During this time, I worked with a wide range of clients, using differing techniques, which expanded my 2D and 3D experience. One of my proudest moments was winning the runner up prize of the E4 Estings competition in 2009 with my 3D animation entry. I started my current role as Lead Animator at Science Animated in 2017, creating whiteboard, flat 2D, and 3D animation, covering a wide range of subject matter. At Sci Ani we are always pushing to expand on what can be done with 2D and 3D animation.
