Background

About Gareth Williams

I am an ACCA qualified Finance Business Partner with 10 years experience in roles within both the steel and automotive industries. I take pride in the work I do and am passionate about the causes I commit myself to. My industry based experience across many disciplines of finance and performance management and exposure to all levels of internal and external stakeholders has given me a solid base of knowledge & an understanding of how people influence the performance of a business. As a service function, financial business partnering has built on my early career in hospitality, developing a strong customer focused approach to my attitude and I am very conscientious about delivering to those who rely on my input. Strong attention to detail and continual learning and improvement are characteristics which support and enable delivery of my role. The nature of my roles and the industries themselves have provided me with a practical and hands on experience of working in a health and safety critical environment, often spending time within production and engineering areas when supporting stakeholders of the finance function. This makes me applicable to roles within the operations of a business as well as its offices. I have a wide range of skills, international work experience and many active interests outside of work.
