About Garima Singh

I am a doctoral researcher who is trying to find answers about the systemic biases present in the Algorithmic systems used in data centric Welfare States. My particular focus is on how such biases may lead in the way of discrimination and create a breeding ground of mistrust in society. I like to look at things from a social and employment policy angle. Wherein, my focus is usually on the vulnerable groups, such as women, children, elderly, persons with disability and migrants, perspective due to the presence of systemic welfare blind spots making them more susceptive to fraud and diverse forms of discrimination. Besides, i have experience in project and data management, coordination, academic event planning and qualitative research and analysis. I am always happy to discuss and work on new ideas and seeking opportunities for thought provoking conversations.
