About Garret Munch

At Shive-Hattery, our team's dedication to creative problem-solving in landscape architecture has led to a diverse portfolio in market sectors such as higher education, healthcare + wellness, commercial +hospitality, sports + recreation, and conservation + sustainability. My role as Landscape Architect and Visualization Specialist is to drive innovation and foster collaboration, ensuring that every project reflects our shared vision of transformative design and designing what matters to make the world a better place. With a passion for problem-solving and working alongside creative clients and teams, I am excited to come to work each and everyday. The opportunity to help people, organizations, and communities visualize and create their dreams and plan for a better future, is why I love landscape architecture and design. As Iowa ASLA Chapter President, I am excited for what's to come in 2025. Our mission is to celebrate and advocate for landscape architecture in Iowa and across the world. We help connect our membership, young professionals, and students to the resources and education opportunities that will help them grow. I am extremely honored and privileged to work alongside the amazing executive committee that we have this year and can't wait to share along the way.
