The conventional definition of management is getting work done through people, but real management is developing people through work.” – Agha Hasan Abedi As someone whose strengths lie in dynamic communication, strong work ethic, and strategic planning, I have always found myself in positions of leadership. Going as far back as being selected as head delegate for my college's Model United Nations team to being one of the youngest managers in Penske's Remarketing department, I am not satisfied unless I, and my team, are flourishing. My leadership style generally takes the form of developing close relationships with my team members. Not only do I want to know more about them and how they function most effectively, but I believe that it's important for them to know me well too. These relationships allow me to share expectations implicitly and maintain an atmosphere in which team members are comfortable sharing their concerns with me. As I invest in each person individually, the entire team's productivity improves.
