About Garrett Hall

Garrett Hall is a Senior Principal Environmental Consultant within Senversa's Melbourne Environmental Management and Approvals team, providing strategic advice to clients in relation to regulatory liaison, waste planning, strategic planning, regulatory approvals and regulatory compliance. His focus is on assisting industry with driving efficiency in its environmental approvals, compliance and risk management while minimising costs and regulatory burden. Garrett combines his scientific skills with his knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory practices to develop sustainable environmental outcomes. Chief amongst his regulatory expertise is his central role in the development of the Environment Protection (Industrial Waste Resource) Regulations 2009, and its implementation in Victoria. Throughout his academic and professional careers, Garrett has completed projects for a variety of clients in many parts of Australia and the South Pacific, with a keen interest in improving the links between industry and the policies that govern their business. His interests also extend to our response to current and emerging issues, seeking to ensure the best environmental outcome is achieved, while protecting and improving the reputation of industry amongst regulators and the community. Garrett’s recent experience in policy and strategic development has enabled him to improve his understanding of legislative and policy mechanics, and guide clients in strategies for obtaining statutory environmental approvals, or managing existing environmental compliance issues.
