About Garrett Shipley

My name is Garrett Shipley and I am a professional educator with over 17 years of public educational experience. I hold a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. In addition, I am fully certified in both North and South Carolina in elementary, middle, and high school level principal and middle and high school social studies. I am currently serving as a middle grades social studies teacher/certified school administrative intern for the Fort Mill School District. Throughout my teaching career I have demonstrated to my superiors to be a hard working, detailed oriented, tech savvy, task and data driven passionate professional. In addition, I have served on numerous committees and councils during my teaching career. I was the Chairman of the School Curriculum Council, Chairman of the School Advisory Committee, Chairman of the School Sunshine and Moral Committee, Chairman and writer of the School Improvement Plan, Chairman of the School Data Committee, Chief PTO Liaison to the faculty and staff, and Title I Coordinator. Furthermore, I have served as a committee member for the Teacher Recruitment Fair, became a school level Canvas instructor, advisor at school level for teachers Student Learning Objectives (SLO), member of the school grading policy committee, conducted tort evaluations for school safety, certified in PrePare Crisis Management II, and 8th grade representative for the Raider Roundtable teacher concerns committee. I also bring over 800 hours of real time experience serving as a school level administrator performing such duties as morning, afternoon, and lunchtime supervision, scheduling, implementing school discipline, conflict management, and handling parent concerns.
