About Garvit Agarwal

I am a PhD student in Cybersecurity with a deep focus on AI-driven security, malware analysis, and adversarial AI. My research explores data-free backdoor attacks in AI (NLP and malware image classification), ransomware classification, and the application of machine learning, deep learning, and graph learning in cybersecurity. With experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue, I have worked extensively on ransomware detection, OT network security, and anomaly detection in SCADA systems. Previously, I have held security-focused roles at FireEye (Google), IIT Delhi, and Trilogy, contributing to vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security automation. My technical expertise spans ethical hacking, malware analysis, deep learning, and reverse engineering, complemented by hands-on work in sandbox environments, federated learning, and security applications of AI. Passionate about securing AI systems and defending against emerging cyber threats, I am always open to research collaborations, industry opportunities, and meaningful discussions in the cybersecurity space.
